Ease of use and control were among the key priorities for the project, which was completed earlier this year.
Renowned brands specified for the installation include Extron, whose equipment manages all source signals and the overall system control. Specific models selected for the project include the MLC 226 IP MediaLink Controller with IP Link (pictured), which is described as an economical and intuitive remote-control panel that provides universal projector and room control in any small-scale environment, including classrooms and boardrooms; and the MLC 52 RS EU Basic MediaLink Controller, which serves as an extended remote control and provides user-friendly control for a display’s power and input selection.
The resulting installation allows campus staff to control the AV systems in each classroom. In addition, the alert system included in the MediaLink products will trigger a report email if/when any problems are detected.
