ClearVC expands reach with full acquisition of VideoCentric

Both companies will continue operating under their own brands in the UK initially, with a phased integration planned to maintain service continuity

Manchester-based ClearVC, a provider of video-conferencing, collaboration and unified communication solutions, has expanded its UK presence by fully acquiring video-conferencing integrator VideoCentric. The acquisition adds VideoCentric’s newly opened Edinburgh showroom to ClearVC’s network, providing a dedicated hub for demonstrations, training, and innovation in Scotland.

VideoCentric’s directly employed engineers will join ClearVC’s in-house team, the company says, enhancing service delivery by reducing reliance on long-distance deployments and improving response times across regions.

Both companies will continue operating under their own brands initially, with a phased integration planned to maintain service continuity. No job losses are expected, and new roles have already been created to support growth across sales, finance, HR and compliance.

Founded in 2001, VideoCentric is known for its work in the Thames Valley and South of England, offering AV integration, equipment hire, installation, analytics, and ongoing support for sectors including business, education, healthcare, and public bodies.

Rebecca McCartney, managing director of ClearVC, said: “This acquisition is about more than just expansion, it’s about strengthening our technical capacity, deepening in-house expertise, and delivering consistent, high-quality service across the UK.

“By uniting two organisations known for innovation and engineering excellence in the AV and unified communications space, we’re building a more agile and resilient operation. It means we can respond faster, deliver smarter, and continue investing in the talent, technology and infrastructure that set us apart in the North and beyond.”

ClearVC says it plans ongoing investment in its northern and southern operations, including the Edinburgh showroom, to meet evolving market demands for future-ready AV and collaboration solutions.
