New projector, presenter, lens

ISE 2017 sees the first public appearance of Canon’s XEED WUX6500 projector, the PR500-R presenter and LX-IL08WZ lens.

The XEED WUX6500 features a WUXGA (1920×1200) resolution LCOS panel with brightness up to 6,500 lumens, making it the brightest single-lamp LCOS projector in Canon’s range.

HDBaseT alongside HDMI and DVI-I allows for greater connectivity options, including Network Multi-Projection. Interchangeable lenses further enhance versatility to allow projection from different positions and enable multi-projector installations.

Canon’s PR500-R presenter is a laser pointer featuring a precision 635nm ‘double red’ laser for better visibility in bright rooms or on bright screens. It features a removable dongle for fast connection to PCs and Macs and natively supports Microsoft PowerPoint, Mac Keynote and Adobe Reader. Controls include next page, previous page, start/end slideshow and black screen.

The LX-IL08WZ wide angle zoom lens is designed for Canon’s LX projector range to add wider angle projection capabilities at shorter distances. The lens is motorised to allow remote zoom and focus adjustment. It has a focal length of 15.73-23.59mm for an equivalent zoom range of 1.5x while maintaining a wide aperture.

The XEED WUX6500 will be available from March 2017. The PR500-R and LX-IL08WZ are available immediately.
