PPDS has published its latest Professional Displays Sustainability Update, outlining a series of sustainability initiatives, product developments and industry programmes undertaken during 2025.
According to the company, the report details progress across product design, manufacturing, packaging and operations, alongside efforts to support sustainability awareness and education within the AV industry.
Among the milestones highlighted in the report, PPDS – as part of TPV – achieved an EcoVadis Platinum rating for sustainability performance, while its Philips Signage 3000 Series EcoDesign became the first signage display to receive EPEAT Climate+ Gold certification. The company also launched the Philips Unite LED 6000 Series All-in-One display, which features a standby mode consuming less than 0.5W of power.
The report also details continued development of the Philips Tableaux ePaper range and updates to the Philips Wave remote device management platform, which PPDS said are intended to help customers reduce energy consumption and improve operational efficiency.
Beyond product development, the company highlighted its involvement in industry sustainability initiatives, including becoming a Preservation Partner of SAVe and supporting the ISE Hackathon Sustainability Track, which challenges students to develop technology-based solutions to environmental issues. The report also outlines PPDS’ efforts to promote sustainability awareness and education across the AV sector.
Stefan van Sabben, global director of CSR and sustainability at TPV, said: “As we look ahead, our work in 2025 provides a strong platform for continued progress. By consolidating the advances already achieved and unlocking new opportunities and programs, we are expanding our ability to support partners and customers on their sustainability journeys.”
