The recently launched Exhibition Centre Liverpool has been fitted with Samsung High Bright OM55D, 55in LED digital signage screens by Pure AV to present clear messaging to visitors, even in bright sunlight.
Exhibition Centre Liverpool is the latest addition to The ACC Liverpool Group’s portfolio of venues, which includes a combination of event, exhibition and conference venues generating a reported £1bn in economic impact for the city region since opening in 2008.
Exhibition Centre Liverpool hosts trade and consumer exhibitions; large national and international conferences; concerts and global sporting events. The venue features three main halls, a glazed atrium with waterfront views as well as cafes, meeting rooms and a box office.
The bright glass fronted atrium and waterfront views at the exhibition centre required a solution that would remain clear and visible even in bright sunlight. Pure AV selected the Samsung High Bright OM55D, 55in LED screens for the project. Mike Molyneux, sales manager at Pure AV commented: “The Samsung screens offer a great combination of high brightness and image clarity; allowing us to deliver a display platform for clear and vivid messaging despite the high levels of sunlight in the environment.” The system includes 32 Samsung 55in screens, which are deployed throughout the main public areas of the centre, each installed alongside a BrightSign media player. This allows the in-house team at The ACC Liverpool group to manage and distribute the signage content.
Outside each of the main exhibition halls, a 90in NEC E905 display provides a high impact display area. Installed along with a BrightSign media player, the three screens highlight key information about the exhibition hall and centre.
In addition to the fixed screens there are five portable totems each with a 55in Samsung OM55D mounted in portrait with a BrightSign XD232 media player and housed within a custom built Astley totem. The screens provide the exhibition centre with a flexible way to boost signage according to the requirements of the events taking place.
The upper level at Exhibition Centre Liverpool offers a range of flexible meeting spaces able to accommodate between 30 and 186 people depending on the usage and layout required. Outside each room is a 10in Samsung display fitted into a bespoke Astley housing and providing information about room availability and occupancy.
The addition of the BrightSign signage solution has enabled Pure AV to integrate twitter feeds and content management. Nicky Norman, senior production and technical manager at Exhibition Centre Liverpool, said: “The installation of the screens and digital signage system was part of a very comprehensive mobilisation period for Exhibition Centre Liverpool. The end result is a very high quality system, giving us the ability to display HD images, videos and live text, we are very pleased and are already receiving positive feedback from our clients.”
Liverpool based sales manager at Pure, Mike Molyneux concluded: “Exhibition Centre Liverpool is such a striking building and alongside BT Convention Centre and Echo Arena cements Liverpool’s position as a destination of choice for world class exhibitions, conferences and events. As the economic data demonstrates, it’s a real asset to the city and we are thrilled to continue to work with such an influential organisation.”
