NEC launches flagship laser projector in PX series

NEC Display Solutions has launched the PX803UL, an 8,000 ANSI lumen Solid State Light source (SSL) projector for large venues, as well as higher education, museums, large corporates and signage applications.

The PX803UL is the flagship model in the PX range and includes sealing technology and an integrated liquid cooling system.

In addition to eliminating lamp replacement requirements, the SSL technology also removes filter costs and the need for time-consuming installation and maintenance, which brings down the cost of ownership. It offers a more constant light output and a typical lifetime of 20,000 hours, while maintaining consistent image quality level. Efficiency is also gained by its low power consumption.

The PX803UL offers easy installation with a selection of wide zoom bayonet lenses, an optional ultra-short throw lens, and the ability to use third party lenses.

Gerd Kaiser, senior product line manager large venue projectors at NEC Display Solutions Europe, commented: “Laser is the projector light source of the future. Low total cost of ownership is crucial to many sectors where installation projectors are used in large venues. Investments need to be efficient in the long run, and low maintenance and adaptability of devices are crucial in achieving this. Laser is the light source that can deliver on this and ensure those benefits whilst guaranteeing high quality pictures.”

In addition to flexibility benefits, viewing large presentations is made easier due to the input options, including OPS, HDMI-out and the edge-blending capability.

The NEC PX803UL laser projector will be showcased at the NEC Display Solutions at ISE on stand: 4-R24.
