LG to showcase world first at Technology Exposed

The world’s first 34in curved IPS 21:9 UltraWide monitor from LG will make an appearance at the Midwich Technology Exposed showcase on 17 – 18 September at Ascot Racecourse, UK.

The 3440×1440 pixel display features quad HD resolution and offers a 178º viewing angle. It will take its place on the LG stand alongside the company’s 98in edge-lit LED Widescreen Ultra HD display, which is being showcased for the first time in the UK following its world launch at InfoComm 2014 in Vegas.

The 98in display will be mounted using Peerless AV’s Quick Release Video Wall Mount, DS-VW795-QR. One innovative new feature of the bracket is the ability to articulate the screen away from the wall by gently pressing on the front of the display.

“Being the first to see innovations is what the Tech Exposed showcase is all about, allowing visitors to be one step ahead of their competition and host meaningful meetings with all sectors of the channel,” commented Lee Baker, divisional director at Midwich. “Being able to meet manufacturers like LG is invaluable, as it presents the opportunity to talk about the needs of the market at all levels, influencing the design and functions of next generation displays.”

Warren Lewis, European Director for Commercial Screens and Displays at LG, added: “We are continually raising the bar for the digital signage industry and identified the Midwich Technology Exposed showcase as the perfect place to launch these new offerings to the UK market. Our development focus is now on higher-resolution, higher-brightness and enhanced energy-efficiency displays utilising LED and Ultra HD technology. Continued leadership with UHD displays and the advantages of IPS panels make LG large format displays the perfect choice for future-proofed digital signage.”
