Previously we outlined the Audience Venues Best Project Award contenders; here we look ahead to the Education category and the Star Product Award.
This category covers installations in schools, colleges and universities – as well other learning environments such as conference centres and corporate training centres.
The Star Product Award focuses on a single part of the installation – a product that performs a key role in the overall system design. We’re especially interested in products that provide a new solution for an existing issue.
Atlona AT-PRO2HD88M – City University of Hong Kong
The matrix used to upgrade the classroom AV system can send video, audio, IR and RS-232 signals over one cable and allows future modification.
Crestron CaptureHD Pro – Austrian agricultural training college
The system was built around the streaming and capturing solution, which can stream and record from all main rooms.
Panasonic PT-RZ370 – Kingston University
The existing stock has been replaced with 170 Panasonic projectors across the university, which emit less heat and noise and provide 20,000 hours of maintenance free use.
Vivitek NovoConnect – Carlo Anti High School
A collaborative learning zone has been created in the school to promote creativity featuring BYOD capability enabling students to share content from different devices.
Kramer VS-162V and VS-3232DN – National Judicial College
The fully integrated system provides the mock courtroom with reliable communication through each room with the touchscreen panel switching any signal to any location.
