InfoComm 2015: Crestron demos new multi-format video processors

Crestron has released two new multi-format video processors this week at InfoComm15, demoing at booth 2801.

Crestron has announced the introduction of two new multi-format video processors for huddle spaces and small meeting rooms, showcased this week at InfoComm15.

The Digital Graphics Engine 200 (DM-DGE-200-C) and Digital Graphics Engine 100 (DGE-100) offer HDMI connectivity, display control and integration with Crestron Fusion enterprise management software. The DM-DGE-200-C also adds support for long distance wired presentation via HDBaseT.

With both processors the user can create customised onscreen graphics and messaging using the in-room display. HDMI input and output is also featured including CEC management enabling integration with Crestron AirMedia for wireless presentation capability from smart devices. The LAN port delivers H.264 video, enabling content to be streamed to the DGE in the room and both models also offer IR and serial ports for control.

The DM-DGE-200-C adds a DM input for HDBaseT signals from a DM transmitter at the far end of a conference table or from a DM switcher in a rack, for full support of 4K/60 sources.

Replacing the Crestron DGE-1 and DGE-2, the DGE-100 and DM-DGE-200-C can also be used to bring touchscreen graphics and HD video processing to the Crestron V-Panel 20in HD Touch Screen Display (TSD-2020). Via their USB ports, and with the addition of a mountable touchscreen overlay, both products can even be used to convert the room display into a touchscreen.

Due to their compact size, the DM-DGE-200-C and DGE-100 can be surface-mounted anywhere in the room or behind the room display. For applications requiring a TSD-2020 Touch Display, both models can be mounted inside a specially designed optional Wall Mount Kit and Back Box, which allows the TSD-2020 to be mounted cleanly on the wall with no visible plugs or wires.
