PPDS invites customers to Oracle Red Bull Racing Formula 1 races

Also in this news story, we pay our respects to Martijn van der Woude, PPDS VP of global marketing and business development, who died earlier this year

A note from Installation sister magazine AV Technology’s Cindy Davis: “On April 21, 2025, I learned the news of the unexpected death of Martijn van der Woude, vice president of global marketing and business development at Philips Professional Displays (PPDS). I am deeply saddened. My interactions with him, which included several interviews, revealed a man of great kindness, humor, and an unwavering commitment to sharing his knowledge of technological advancements and their implications for our industry. His dedication to sustainability and ensuring its message was accurately communicated was evident. He will be missed.

Out of respect, we held off posting this video interview with van der Woude, conducted in February during ISE 2024 in Barcelona (also available at the bottom of this article). Still, we also want to honor his memory, so we are sharing it now. His excitement lives on.”

Off to the races!

In February 2024, PPDS signed a deal with Oracle Red Bull Racing, announcing the three-year extension of the partnership between the two companies. And PPDS is inviting its clients to the races. Martijn van der Woude, vice president of global marketing and business development at PPDS, said: “What you will see there is a completely upgraded garage where Max parks his car, which will be a full LED experience.”

PPDS and van der Woude understand the importance of building relationships. “We give our customers on the race day an experience as if they are one day part of the team. I think we all know that relationships in technology, business, and any other business are important, and to celebrate those relationships, we are inviting our customers to those races on a global level. So, all the races in the world, in all regions, it’s always the same out of this world experience,” he said.

PPDS is in the process of upgrading the Red Bull Racing’s Paddock Club experience. “There is already a great LED solution there, but we will even make that bigger and better and brighter,” said van der Woude.

The factory of Red Bull Racing in Milton Keynes is expanding, and PPDS is part of an exclusive team of suppliers to upgrade the facility. “The facilities in Milton Keynes Red Bull Racing add another dimension for us in terms of hospitality. It brings the highest level of hospitality to our customers,” added van der Woude.

In true form, van der Woude exclaimed: “Follow us if you are a Formula 1 fan, or even if you’re not, because we bring the latest green innovations to Red Bull Racing Partnership.”
