Control nine videowalls from one PC with new Optics controller

Setting up a videowall system has never been so easy, says Opticis, with the announcement of the IPVDS-500-ED

Setting up a videowall system has never been so easy, says Opticis, with the announcement of the IPVDS-500-ED

The controller will carry a 4K signal at 30Hz or a 1080p signal at 60Hz, and supports analogue/HDMI audio over 100m via Cat5e/6 Cable. It is also said to support fast switching and low video latency for stable videowall control. The IPVDS-500-ED provides a virtual matrix function with Tx (host) and Rx (client) via the IP network, enabling the user to monitor and control the videowall system.

According to Opticis, the IPVDS-500-ED provides the optimal solution for up to 256 displays, however they are configured, in systems for control rooms, security and traffic control. It is also appropriate, the company says, for more general applications such as conference rooms, houses of worship, education, and presentation facilities.

Up to nine different videowalls can be controlled from one instance of the PC software.
