axxent reveals convection cooled amplifier

German professional audio manufacturer, axxent e.K., has revealed a new two channel, low impedance amplifier that doesn’t require the assistance of a fan.

The new CLP2300 amplifier offers 300W of power at four ohms – with convection cooling only. The cooling system consists of large metal fins inside the amplifier case.

The no noise feature makes the amplifier ideal for such applications as churches, sound recording studios, conference rooms and so on. Development and production of the new amplifier is the result of many contacts and meetings of Josef Becker, owner of axxent e.K. with sound system contractors and consultants.

The axxent CLP2300 amplifier has a height of 1 RU only. Other features include: balanced Neutrik XLR input connectors with slave output, Neutrik Speakon output connectors, adjustable input gain reduction up to 30 dB, built-in limiters, rumble filters, a multitude of operating state led indicators, switch-mode power supply and high fidelity analogue class-H output stage with very low distortion, as well as large rubber feet allow its use as a desktop amplifier.
