InfoComm 2025: Futuresource report reveals ‘strong turnout’ and ‘optimism’

Futuresource Consulting's analysis reveals InfoComm 2025 welcomed 30,998 attendees to Florida and dominant themes included AI, and immersive and sustainable experiences

Despite pre-show concerns around macroeconomic headwinds, InfoComm 2025 exceeded expectations with a notably upbeat atmosphere, according to the post-show report from Futuresource Consulting. The show attracted 30,998 attendees, which was a 2 percent rise from 2024.

The report says: “The show floor buzzed with energy, underlining a resilient and forward-looking AV industry. Political conversation was largely absent, allowing technology and innovation to take centre stage.”

Key statistics
InfoComm 2025 welcomed 30,998 attendees, up from 30,271 in 2024. International visitor numbers decreased to 18 percent of total attendees, which could reflect stricter US entry and visa requirements, economic pressures, or Orlando’s relative inaccessibility compared to Las Vegas.

65 percent of non-exhibitor attendees were from the pro AV channel, with end users accounting for the remaining 35 percent. This marks a significant increase in the number of end-users attending InfoComm.

There were 817 exhibitors across 400,100sqft, with InfoComm 2025 primarily held in the West Hall of the Orange County Convention Centre.

AI everywhere: From conference rooms to stadiums
The report says that the pervasive theme at InfoComm was the “prolific integration of AI across nearly every AV vertical”. With panels spotlighting AI-driven features, from intelligent PTZ camera tracking to automation in digital signage, conferencing, security, and workplace management, industry leaders emphasised that “mastering AI is essential for staying competitive”.

This AI-focused content reflected the show’s recognition that the next wave of AV innovation hinges on seamlessly merging machine intelligence with human-centric experiences, Futuresource argues.

Immersive & sustainable experiences take centre stage
InfoComm 2025 doubled down on immersive, experiential AV solutions, spanning esports arenas, theme parks, live events, and digital signage, highlighting how the lines between physical and digital experiences are blurring.

At the same time, a clear commitment to sustainability emerged, with sessions dedicated to eco-friendly event design, resource-conscious AV planning, and circular economy practices .

Redefining room & device management
InfoComm 2025 also underlined a deeper evolution in room and device management. As hybrid work continues to reshape office design, IT administrators are fast becoming the key decision-makers in AV procurement. Cloud-native tools that streamline provisioning, monitoring and diagnostics are shifting the balance of power, with vendors increasingly focusing on experience management rather than device control alone, the report indicates.

CoB, MicroLED & the new face of commercial AV
In the display space, LED took centre stage, but not in the ways expected. Rather than jaw-dropping visual showcases, the emphasis was on manufacturing origin, TAA compliance and modularity. A race is on to serve vertical-specific needs with solutions that balance cost, sustainability and ease of deployment. Futuresource’s report explains how the transition from SMD to CoB and eventually MicroLED is unfolding, and what it means for buyers and suppliers alike.

An immersive pro audio revolution
Meanwhile, the pro audio section of the showfloor delivered a potent mix of immersion and intelligence. With AVoIP now a design assumption, spatial audio moving mainstream and cloud-managed DSPs rising in popularity, the soundscape of the future is smarter, greener and more software-defined than ever before.

The free Futuresource report also spotlights the brands and technologies pushing professional video forward, from next-generation video bars and smart framing software, to open IP standards like NDI and IPMX gaining critical mass. The convergence of AV and IT is redefining the infrastructure backbone of modern enterprise deployments, the report suggests.

Scarlett Woodford, head of collaboration, Futuresource Consulting, said: “InfoComm 2025 didn’t just showcase the next wave of innovation, it revealed the new rules of the game. Whether you’re a vendor, integrator or channel player, this report will help you to decipher what’s trending now, what’s next and how you can prepare.”
