Lightware has released its biggest update yet to the LARA Wizard Touchpanel configuration software, aimed at helping integrators work faster while delivering a more professional end-user interface.
A key addition is Dual Display Control, allowing integrators to configure two video outputs from a single touchpanel, with independent display settings per output, intended to support spaces using two monitors of the same or different types. The Wizard also adds Light and Dark themes via an in-Wizard switch, and now supports custom company branding, with logo upload, preview and delete integrated directly within the software.
To streamline configuration before deployment, the update introduces a Live Touchpanel Preview in a pop-up window, allowing integrators to confirm layout, check labels and verify branding before generating and uploading files to a device.
New Room Control Buttons support up to four toggle buttons with live status feedback, using GPIO, serial, Ethernet or CEC control, intended to let end users manage room equipment such as lights, displays or projectors directly from the touchpanel. A Scheduled Display Shutdown option adds a time-of-day power-off setting, alongside the existing timer-based option. Smart Auto-Select has also been extended to both outputs, intended to route active sources to displays automatically and reduce manual switching.
The release includes a refreshed UI design, with dual source selection for up to four inputs, room control blocks and Light/Dark scene rendering.
