HK Audio has expanded its POLAR MK2 family of active column PA systems with the POLAR 15 MK2, designed for DJs, musicians and event professionals. Manufactured in Germany, the system combines a column speaker with a 15in subwoofer in a multiplex enclosure, delivering low-frequency output alongside clear reproduction of vocals and instruments.
An integrated M20 FlexMount allows distance poles for compact lighting systems and other show accessories to be mounted directly on the subwoofer, potentially eliminating the need for separate stands. The column uses a low-resonance aluminium profile, while a newly developed connector secures the column elements during use and allows them to be removed for transport. MultiGrip handles, a padded column bag and a subwoofer transport cover are included.
The POLAR 15 MK2 has a four-channel mixer with two XLR/jack combo inputs for microphone and line signals, a high-impedance instrument input and an auxiliary channel for playback devices. Bluetooth 5.0 supports wireless music streaming, while Bluetooth True Wireless Stereo (TWS) allows two POLAR MK2 systems to be paired for stereo playback. A USB-C port provides charging for compatible mobile devices and wireless microphone receivers.
Integrated digital signal processing offers Music, Voice and DJ sound modes, alongside a three-band equaliser and semi-parametric midrange EQ. Users can save custom settings in five presets, while a delay function allows the system to serve as a delay line. Phantom power is also available for condenser microphones.
The POLAR 15 MK2 is available now through retailers. Users can register their systems on the HK Audio website to receive an extended five-year warranty.
