Did you exhibit or attend ISE and/or InfoComm?
Yes, Audio-Technica exhibited at both, with Audio-Technica Europe taking care of ISE and Audio-Technica US responsible for our presence at InfoComm.
What are your thoughts on this year’s event/s – as an exhibitor and/or attendee?
As travel and Covid restrictions have eased and events have started opening up there has been a revival of interest in attending physical trade shows, particularly local/regional shows. They are being seen as a good opportunity to network and reconnect with colleagues from within the industry in person. The online equivalent of trade shows has not been that successful as it has not been able to replace the face to face networking experience which is the USP of physical trade shows. Having said that, however the renewed interest may/may not be reflective of years to come. We have to wait and see.
Is there anything you think can be done to improve either/both event/s?
From an ISE planning perspective, it’s fair to say that some improvements in their communication both internally and with exhibitors would facilitate a smoother running of the show. Signs of aisles and stand numbers are definitely required, given feedback from visitors!
If you exhibited at either/both event/s, how did you find the footfall and the quality of attendees?
Footfall in Hall 3 at ISE was good and the quality of visitors high, as hoped for. So although total numbers might have been down on pre-pandemic years, we were pleased with the first show in the new venue.
With ISE, what did you think of the new venue?
In general the FIRA is well located (close to airport, hotels etc), some of the facilities are a bit outdated but very beneficial are the outside areas between each halls.
As an exhibitor, have you rebooked to either/both events for 2023?
Audio-Technica has rebooked for ISE 2023. Audio-Technica US has not rebooked for InfoComm as the booking for next year’s event has not yet started.
