The 4EVAC LoopDrive system, making a debut at ISE 2015 is able to detect faults in voice alarm systems and evacuation loudspeaker loop circuits.
Fully certified with both EN54-16 and EN54-17 regulations, Hacousto claims the modular plug-and-play system will maximise 2-wire, return-loop PA/VA evacuation systems.
After installing 4EVAC LoopDrive’s Fault Isolator Modules (FIM) between loudspeakers on a loop circuit, any drop in DC voltage below a threshold is instantly detected, located and isolated. FIM protects the loop integrity against any open wire-to-wire short circuits, offering peace of mind that voice evacuation audio transmission will be not be interrupted.
The LoopDrive Booster (LDB) at the heart of the 4EVAC LoopDrive system offers easy navigation via front buttons and indicators. Driving up to 200 FIMs over a dual-core cable, a single LDB can pass 800W of audio signal from an amplifier while channelling DC to the loop for powering and managing FIM modules.
Up to 32 LDBs can be attached onto a single DIN-rail providing DC power for the RS485 data connection and general-fault contact.
The system also features LoopDrive Sniffer, a comprehensive GUI that allows up to 256 LDB-units over a single RS485 connection to be easily visualised, configured, installed, managed and controlled remotely.
Albert van der Hout, director of Hacousto International, said: “We’re very excited about presenting 4EVAC LoopDrive at ISE. It’s a unique product that fulfils new legislative market demands.
“Its high-specification modular design is synonymous with Hacousto’s years of manufacturing experience. Offering a simple and easy-to-operate loop isolator makes 4EVAC LoopDrive an attractive product solution for OEMs, manufacturers, integrators, and consultants across an array of application demands.”
