New additions to Structured Cable Products’ HDMI cable offerings have been introduced at ISE. They include the Premium Certified UltraViolet and UltraSlim series and new 4K UHD 18Gbps ACTIVE cables.
The UltraViolet (part 990UHDV) and UltraSlim (991UHD) cables feature SCP’s exclusive Snug-Tite Grip for secure connections and are triple shielded for maximum EMI protection. Said to be ideal for professional home theatre system integration, both cables comply with the new HDMI cable standard, Premium High Speed HDMI Cable with Ethernet. They support HDR video, BT.2020 wider colour gamut and performance standards of 4K@60 4:4:4 2160p 18Gbps.
SCP’s new 4K UHD cables uses the latest Spectra7 chipset for the Custom Installation series (part 944E). Active HDMI cables have a chipset in the display side connector that allows for longer distance distribution of the 4K UltraHD signal. This chipset boosts and extends the cable signal prior to delivering the signal to the Display. These cables are ‘unidirectional’ meaning they must be installed in one direction from Source to Display.
These are the industry’s first true 4K UHD ACTIVE cables that are 4K@50/60 4:4:4 18Gbps 2160p compliant requiring no outside power, says SCP. They provide 4X the resolution of previous 1080p cables.
