QMotion to debut wireless shading systems

QMotion will introduce its automated wireless shading systems into Europe for the first time at this year's ISE. UK director, Ian Claxton, has claimed that QMotion’s shades are quieter and easier to install that similar systems.

ISE 2014 will see automated wireless shading systems from QMotion introduced into the European market for the first time. The US company has opened a UK subsidiary and offers pre-wired roller shades that are claimed to be simpler to install, quieter and have a longer battery life.

They are also “the first and only automated shades with a manual override option for dual control,” claimed Ian Claxton, director, QMotion UK, with wireless control via remote or an iOS or Android device.

QMotion is showing its new Drapery Track system and Honeycomb collection based on the same patented technology and dual control features as its wireless roller shade products. “Honeycomb also provides versatile usage with its excellent thermal barrier that’s fully compatible for all year round through advanced fabrics,” said Claxton.
Also new is the QMotion QLink, “our newest technological advancement that offers a linked shading system for multi-window coverage and supports angles of up to 40º.”

Its systems can be integrated with almost any recognised branded third-party drivers to operate the shades. Whether via dry contacts, RS232 or RS485, all these protocols can be served by its one-stop Qconnect box.
