Power for the people

Three new ranges of powered speakers for the residential market are being showcased by Sonodyne.

The SRT Series offers a three-way active speaker design for home cinema and custom install with a slim on-wall profile.

All models feature Sonodyne’s trademark Kevlar woofer, Kevlar midrange and silk dome tweeter in a rotatable waveguide. Custom passive radiators are used to generate low frequencies from the shallow enclosure while minimising airflow noise.

Each of the three frequency bands is individually powered by its own amplifier, which is kept in a separate enclosure. Internal processing is via DSP, which also allows for detailed user operation.

The DSP balanced SRP 200 Series offers on-wall active speakers for music, home cinema and custom install. With a choice of size, mounting options and colours, Sonodyne claims its ‘beautifully crafted’ active speakers provide high quality performance for not only music and home cinema, but also business music solutions.

The company says the range builds on its studio monitoring experience to provide well-engineered products for high-duty cycle performance and exceptional details.

Also on show at ISE are the IWO Series of on-wall and in-wall speakers for home cinema and custom install in small rooms, as well as a new 7.2 digital processor, the DE 4348.
