New speakers, new matrix

Two new product lines are being featured by Structured Cable Products (SCP) at ISE 2017.

The new offerings are from Current Audio, a designer and manufacturer of in-ceiling speakers, in-wall speakers, outdoor speakers and accessories, as well as Pulse-Eight, a European developer and manufacturer of video distribution matrix solutions.

Making its debut is a new series of contractor’s speakers that are said to offer both competitive price points and incredible sound performance.

The new line of speakers will include a redesigned Fast-Loc grill featuring a lower profile and smaller overall footprint to go along with its patented locking mechanism. Also being shown for the first time is a new series of 70V outdoor speakers.

All of these products can be connected together by utilising an integrated amplifier, with three models to choose from.

SCP is a master distribution partner for Pulse-Eight. Being demonstrated at ISE is the neo Professional HDBaseT 4×4 Matrix featuring two mirrored HDMI outputs, full CEC control, programmable IR, HDCP 2.2 and HDMI 2.0a support.

Building on the core HDBaseT technology stack, Pulse-Eight includes proprietary EDID manipulation, CEC and IR control features that the company says are not found in other matrix solutions. New features include system control through Amazon Echo (Alexa) and a new enhanced monitoring portal that allows connected devices to be monitored and even rebooted from anywhere in the world.

The neo is modular and said to work seamlessly with most distribution and control systems. It can be integrated with any CEC-supported device or system.
