Equinox simplifies the complex

Specialising in integrated control systems for luxury spaces, Vantage has recently released Equinox 41, Design Center 3.3 and Equinox 1.2 (firmware).

According to the company, the Equinox family of products simplifies the complex, providing a personalised interface that, when linked to its InFusion system, delivers the means to efficiently create flexible, customised spaces with a subtle aesthetic. Vantage says that it also provides the integrator with a very efficient and consistent means of configuring these devices.

With its continuous glass LCD touchscreen, the Equinox 41, featuring a 4.3in screen displaying one full widget, employs presence detection and light sensors to automatically wake-up to a desired scenario and adjust to ambient light conditions. With 12 pre-programmed widgets – for lighting, scenes, weather, climate, multi-zone audio, multi-zone video, home theatre, cameras, security and pool/spa and two new widgets for shades and timers – it is said to be simple to navigate with the swipe or tap of a finger.

In addition, two tactile buttons are available; one for home page navigation and the other for custom programming by a certified Vantage integrator.

Version 3.3 of Design Center (DC), Vantage’s integrator programming tool, enables widgets to be automatically populated with information from the DC file, simplifying dealer interface programming and providing users with a consistent view of system functions.
