Three new speakers for voice alarm applications are making their debut at ISE 2015. IC Audio's pair of two-way ceiling speakers with fire protection domes accompany a sturdy sound projector able to be mounted on a mast. All three are certified according to EN 54-24, and are suitable for voice announcements and background music with excellent sound quality in buildings.
The DL-BR 15-130/T plus-EN54 is a 15W powered speaker equipped with a 130mm 2-way bass reflex system with neodymium tweeter. The DL-BR 30-165/T plus-EN54 model is a 30W powered speaker featuring a 165mm 2-way bass reflex system with neodymium tweeter. Both speakers feature a 100V transformer with four power adjustments. Low impedance operation is possible for both models.
IC Audio said the impact-resistant POLYLAC PA-765 speaker housing in white guarantees long-term stability. For additional reliability, a thermal fuse and a strain relief fitting are provided.
The speakers are secured with protection class IP 21C against the security risks of environmental influence while the speaker chassis is impregnated against water. IC Audio said both speakers were perfectly suitable for installations where high sound quality is needed, with installation made easy using a supplied screw mounting system.
Also on show is the DA-P 20-120/T-EN54 Sound Projector for voice alarm applications. The speaker is compliant with the British Standard BS 5839, Part 8.
The 20W powered loudspeaker is equipped with a 130mm full-range loudspeaker chassis and the 100V line transformer with four power adjustments. A robust ABS plastic housing in white and a solid aluminium mounting bracket ensures the permanent installation of this speaker.
For additional reliability, a 2x2 pin-ceramic block and a thermal fuse are provided in a junction box and the speaker chassis is impregnated against water.
A mast bracket for a mast diameter of 200mm is optionally available
