Innovation can be found right across the ISE show floor, but it’s in concentrated form in Congress Square, with startups, exciting new exhibitors and a stage dedicated to sessions on the investment and innovation landscape.
Situated outside the entrances of Halls 4-7, Congress Square is a central piazza that is the beating heart of ISE. A major feature here is the Discovery Zone, which has been significantly expanded for 2024, featuring more than 70 companies that are new to ISE since 2022. It’s a great place to find new and unexpected solutions.
New to ISE 2024, the Plug and Play Stage will explore the world of investment and innovation with a full programme of keynotes, panel discussions and fireside chats from experts, entrepreneurs, and investors. These sessions will explore latest trends, emerging technologies, and forward-thinking strategies – giving attendees valuable insights into the key drivers of success and innovation in today’s rapidly evolving business environment. In the afternoons, there will be pitching sessions featuring innovative companies from the Discovery Zone and elsewhere.
The Catalonia Pavilion hosts local businesses active in the AV industry as well as highlighting business growth opportunities. It’s also the location of the ISE Open Innovation Challenge, hosted by ACCIÓ (the Catalonia Trade and Investment Agency) and Enterprise Europe Network. The Challenge is a business matchmaking service that connects innovative technology providers with Catalan corporations looking to purchase solutions.
Also located in Congress Square is the extensive Barcelona City Council stand, where you’ll find local startups as well as the Catalan Audiovisual Cluster. Among the startups exhibiting here are creative studio Blit.Studio, AR/VR hardware company Inmersia, and virtual twin creators Union Avatars.
