Avant TV positions itself in the smart home of the future

The BeoVision Avant TV is one of the products being showcased in a purpose-built experience theatre at ISE 2015 which aims to portray a smart home of the future, albeit one that’s available today.

The Avant TV is a 4K model that sports motorised stands which allow the TV to unfold in a choreographed manner, while saved user presets move it into a favourite position, enabling the set to ‘follow’ the user around the room. The 85in version of BeoVision Avant features a direct type LED with 2D local backlight dimming, eight integrated driver units and a surround sound module.

A new announcement at the show is based around direct IP control of any Bang & Olufsen TV, in conjunction with the biggest players in the market.

The theatre at ISE 2015 is showcasing BeoLink Gateway, designed to connect and control the entire home ecosystem including sensors, dimmers, cameras and so on. It also includes key information about how to integrate new and old Bang & Olufsen AV products. There are also demonstrations of the ‘ultimate’ Bang & Olufsen sound experience inside a car.

Bang & Olufsen is also demonstrating how the internet of things ties into its vision of the modern home, as well as exploring the power of the BeoRemote One remote, which is able to also control non-Bang & Olufsen equipment such as game consoles, hard disk recorders and Apple TV.
