Shure recognised for AI-ready meeting room tech

Company named a leader in IDC MarketScape, the market research firm’s vendor assessment of worldwide AI-enabled conference room hardware for hybrid meetings

Shure has been named a Leader in the IDC MarketScape: Worldwide AI-Enabled Smart Conference Room Hardware for Hybrid Meetings 2026 Vendor Assessment. Published by market research firm IDC, the assessment evaluates suppliers in a market where audio quality, collaboration capabilities and support for AI-powered meeting tools are increasingly important.

Gala Spasova, senior research manager at IDC, said: “Shure’s position as a Leader in this IDC MarketScape reflects how far the company has expanded beyond its audio heritage. Shure has built a comprehensive workplace collaboration portfolio spanning audio, video, compute and cloud management, while maintaining a clear strength in the complex environments where consistent speech capture and intelligibility are critical.”

The report cited Shure’s suitability for challenging acoustic environments, including large and mission-critical deployments. It also highlighted the use of real-time talker-position data to trigger and enhance camera tracking in partner video systems, enabling speaker-focused video experiences while allowing organisations to retain flexibility in their choice of camera vendors.

Shure’s IntelliMix Room Kits and Foundation System combine compute, audio processing and a touch panel, with Microsoft Teams and Zoom running directly on the systems. The Bar Pro runs Teams on the Microsoft Device Ecosystem Platform and incorporates Shure’s person-detection and speech-enhancement models. These capabilities support meeting functions such as transcription, speaker attribution and summarisation, which depend on the quality of audio captured in the room.

Sam Sabet, executive vice-president and chief technology officer at Shure, said the recognition reflected the company’s progress in developing a platform for enterprise collaboration rather than a collection of individual meeting rooms. He added that its technology was designed to scale from all-in-one collaboration bars to multi-camera systems in large, complex spaces, giving IT teams a consistent foundation as their requirements evolve.

The assessment also identified lifecycle management and analytics as considerations for organisations evaluating Shure’s solutions. Sabet said the company supported customers beyond installation through warranty coverage of up to five years and professional services working alongside integrators, resellers and managed services providers.
