Tateside has delivered a fully integrated audiovisual solution for Onfido’s new Liverpool Street headquarters, combining new and legacy equipment from Shure, Powersoft, Bose, and Sennheise to support secure Microsoft Teams meetings and large-scale events. Onfido, a technology company specialising in AI-based identity verification, uses its platform to help businesses confirm customer identities remotely.
There are nine meeting rooms and a flexible event space called Hive, designed to improve collaboration while meeting strict security requirements.
The system incorporates Neat Bar Pro and Gen 2 conferencing devices for video and audio, alongside scheduling panels and on-desk controllers that enable one-touch meeting joins. Content sharing is restricted in most rooms for security but enabled in the boardroom and event space to facilitate external presentations.
In the boardroom, Tateside reused existing displays and added Shure’s MXA920 ceiling microphone, P300 conferencing processor, and Powersoft amplification driving Bose FS2 pendant speakers, creating a high-quality audio environment tailored to the room’s aesthetics.
The Hive space features a Yealink MVC S90 Microsoft Teams Room system with dual 4K PTZ cameras and AI-powered presenter tracking. Visuals are supported by a 7,500-lumen Epson projector and a large screen, while audio is managed via Sennheiser SpeechLine microphones connected to a QSC Q-SYS Core 8 Flex processor and Powersoft amplifier driving Bose DesignMax speakers for consistent sound coverage.
Blustream HDBaseT extenders enable reliable content distribution and control integration, with Q-SYS and Yealink interfaces providing centralised management of AV and environmental settings.
Richard Day, director at Tateside, said: “The integration of legacy kit with new technology standards, working around security restrictions and collaboration with other contractors’ requirements required us to adapt and problem solve. But the outcome has been really positive. The user experience is greatly improved, with one-touch meeting starts, high-quality audio and video in all spaces and a clean integration that is in line with the aesthetics of the Onfido brand.”
Day added: “We always own our projects completely, which is something that benefits the client as they know we can and will deliver a turnkey solution, on time and to specification. We’ve solved some key issues they were experiencing at their last offices, such as audio in the meeting rooms, but also given them the opportunity to start from scratch, helping them to design and build a top-quality system that benefits their operations. In that sense, we are recognised as trusted advisors, not just competent installers.”
