Featuring design work by Giorgio Revoldini, the Crystal 35 is said to be ‘perfect’ for the lifestyle home cinema customer and incorporates a glass cabinet housing a powerful light engine.

Suitable for a wide range of installation environments, Crystal 35 sports a 280W lamp capable of generating 2,000 lumens and a 30,000:1 contrast ratio. The throw ratio is 1.62 – 2.43:1, covering the vast majority of installations, while the vertical lens shift allows users to avoid digital keystone.

The specification also includes 1920 x 1080 pixel resolution, compatibility with all video standards including 1080p@24fps, Brilliant Colour Technology, Dynamic Black Technology and RS232 control.

The glass finish cabinet, meanwhile, is available in both black and white.

Alan Roser, SIM2 UK’s managing director, told IE Residential: “The Crystal 35 has been designed to satisfy the growing demand for quality lifestyle home cinemas that do not require black out. These lifestyle cinemas in areas such as family rooms and living rooms mean that the whole family can relax and spend quality time together. We are seeing a big increase in the requirement for this type of cinema, with a total system value of less than £20k, both in the UK and across Europe. This is being driven both by increased consumer awareness and by new technology developments such as ambient light rejection projection screens like Black Diamond from Screen Innovations.”
