Christie's projectors are deployed across 24 spaces at the world's most renowned film festival, which attracts more than 40,000 festival goers

Christie is powering screenings at the 78th Cannes Film Festival (May 13-24). RGB pure laser, laser, and Xenon illuminated projection technologies from Christie are deployed across 24 spaces at the globally renowned festival, including the flagship Grand Théâtre Lumière room and striking outdoor Cinéma de la Plage screen.

More than 40,000 festival goers will attend the global event, with a host of A-list stars poised to grace the red carpet.

Adil Zerouali, vice president, sales EMEA, Christie, said: “Festival de Cannes remains among the most prestigious and iconic events on the cinema calendar, and it’s a real honour to once again play our part as the official projection partner.

“We are pleased to continue our work with the festival and the Commission Supérieure Technique de l’Image et du Son (CST) to ensure screenings deliver an outstanding experience befitting such a spectacle. The film line-up at the event continues to delight every year.”

Christie’s technology is being used to project highly anticipated films in this year’s lineup, including Scarlett Johansson’s directorial debut ‘Eleanor the Great’, Wes Anderson’s ‘The Phoenician Scheme’, ‘Eddington,’ featuring Joaquin Phoenix, Pedro Pascal and Emma Stone, and ‘Mission Impossible – The Final Reckoning.’
