Sanus introduces iPad app for CI

The Sanus Install Tool Kit iPad app provides TV mount compatibility and installation assistance for professional A/V installers working at CI project sites.

The Sanus Install Tool Kit iPad app provides TV mount compatibility and installation assistance for professional A/V installers working at CI project sites. The free app is available for download now from the iTunes App Store.

“With many custom installers embracing new technologies like the iPad, we wanted to develop a useful application that will make it faster and easier for installers to get assistance in the field,” said Sanus general manager Jim Wohlford.

The features list of the Sanus Install Tool Kit app includes Sanus’s MountFinder mount selection tool, which enables installers to find compatible mounts for more than 15,000 TVs from a comprehensive list organised alphabetically by brand and model number of quick identification. The HeightFinder installation assistant helps installers to determine the exact drilling hole location for installing a mount, while the My Notes notepad enables the creation and saving of notes that can be referred to subsequently.

The app also provides demo videos that allow installers to demonstrate to customers the many benefits of mounting a TV, and to show them which type of a mount is appropriate for their application.

Rick van Bommel, Sanus coordinator marketing & product management, told IE Residential: “With many custom installers embracing new technologies like the iPad, we wanted to develop a useful application that will make it faster and easier for installers to get assistance in the field. We took easy installation as a starting point, and after listening to market requirements created the App as a complete tool kit that includes our MountFinder mount selection tool and HeightFinder installation assistant, which provide the mounting information for more than 15,000 TVs. We also included installation videos and a notepad to make and save notes for future use.”
