PRG Europe lights Joseph revival

Lighting designer Andrew Bridge and associate Michael Odam worked alongside PRG Europe project manager Peter Marshall back when the Australian actor played Joseph, so they weren’t new to the requirements of the show.

The lighting rig was installed under the supervision of production electrician Fraser Hall. It includes 70 Vari-Lite luminaires, over 200 ETC Source Fours, Wybron colour scrollers, Lycian follow spots and other conventional lights, along with strobes, smoke and special effects.

A major desk transfer was required to go from the Artisan control console to a Wholehog II by programmers Stuart Porter and Pryderi Baskerville. They spent a couple of weeks in PRG Europe’s demo theatre with the old system of VL2C and VL4 luminaires, together with their modern counterparts, the VL3000 and VL2000, in order to complete the show transfer.
