Scala, the leading marketing technology specialist, has opened a showroom space in Madrid where Scala technology can be sampled and new custom-made solutions developed and shared. Located on the 4th floor of Condesa de Venadito, 1. Madrid, the showroom is well served by local, national and international transport links, including the Adolfo Suárez Madrid-Barajas Airport.
The Scala showroom has been operational since September and was officially opened on Thursday, 21st November with a reception attended by 50 guests, including Disney, Leroy Merlin and NCR. It is separated into industry-specific zones, including a grocery space in which the benefits of integrated signage and customer communications in a retail environment are showcased, and a restaurant area where Scala’s menu board, ordering and fulfilment solutions are shared.
The Scala Madrid showroom is the first showroom space to open outside of Scala’s head office in Sittard, in the Netherlands. A showroom space in London is currently being built with plans to open other showrooms across key European markets in 2025.
Alvaro Morales, sales director, Spain and Portugal, Scala, said: “Scala has so much to offer businesses of all types and, as we have seen from those who have already visited the showroom, there is a huge interest in the ways in which our solutions, built on a deep understanding of customer experience and the capabilities of our technology, can create efficiencies and drive profits.”
He added: “The opportunities unlocked through in-store retail media can be demonstrated so clearly using the showroom, as can the ways in which Scala provides powerful customer-communications across quick serve restaurants, stores, healthcare settings, educational spaces and more.”
Harry Horn, general manager EMEA, Scala, added: “There is no substitute for seeing Scala solutions first-hand. Our technology is always received with curiosity and delight at the many exhibits and presentation and networking events, where we showcase across the year. With this showroom, as with the others which will be opened across Europe, we can collaborate with clients in a far deeper manner; sharing our expertise and working with them to develop tools that answer the needs of their business.”
Scala currently has a dedicated team of three working in Madrid. Jorge Mira is director of creative services and has been working with Scala for 20 years. Alvaro Morales joined the team in April 2023 as sales director for the region. In September this year, Arianne Cediel joined the team as senior sales and dusiness development manager.
