Polycom celebrates global contract with C&W, Regus

Regus currently offers more than 600 videoconferencing studios and says that the addition of the telepresence suites will provide “a new level of intimate meeting experience” that also chimes with many businesses’ attempts to control costs and reduce their carbon footprints.

The first phase of the roll out will involve 14 suites, with a further 11 to follow later. The first suites will be available to rent on an hourly basis from this summer.

Paul Louden, UK and Ireland vice president of sales for Polycom, told II: “In this tough economic environment, companies are trying to figure out how to reduce and contain costs – HD video and telepresence is an easy answer. Polycom’s broad range of HD video and telepresence solutions provides customers with a rapid return on investment, quickly showing real cash savings on business travel. Polycom achieved the highest reported market growth for revenue in group videoconferencing in the EMEA region for the full year 2008 among all vendors, with a staggering growth of 32%. We remain positive and expect the rate of adoption of our HD telepresence solutions to continue to increase in the coming years.”
