Elite Screens’ Evanesce is a ‘disappearing’ in-ceiling electric projection screen for professional integrators, encased in a durable white-finished aluminium housing. The new innovation is just one of the solutions on display at CEDIA Home Technology Event, which is taking place in London this week.

Elite Screens’ Evanesce is a ‘disappearing’ in-ceiling electric projection screen for professional integrators, encased in a durable white-finished aluminium housing. Tensioned and non-tensioned options are available in matte white, utilising wide diffusion uniformity and black backing to eliminate light penetration for a “cleaner, sharper” image.

The MaxWhite FG is a 1.1 gain layered fabric screen material that is fibreglass-backed for increased flatness available in 4:3, 16:9, and 16:10 aspect ratios, and sizes from 90″-132″ (diagonal) measurements. The Elite CineWhite 1.1 gain black-backed PVC screen tension material has side tab tension cords to provide flatness. This material is available in 4:3, 16:9, 16:10 and 2.35:1 aspect ratios, and sizes from 84″-139″ (diagonal).

For the complete operational package, the Evanesce comes with IR and RF receivers, remote controls, RJ45 wire connection, and 5-12 Volt trigger to coordinate the screen’s operation with the projector’s power cycle. Both an external and an in-wall integrated low-voltage three-way wall switch are included.

Dave Rodgers, marketing manager for Elite Screens, commented: “To Evanesce means to fade out an disappear, and that is exactly what we want a projection screen to do when we are not using it. It is a fully integrated ceiling projection screen that ships fully assembled and ready to install in either conference or media rooms.”

Exhibiting at CEDIA Home Technology Events on stand F20, Elite Screens is also highlighting the recent launch of its new Osprey dual format 2.35:1/16:9 tandem projection screen for use with projectors with dual-mode anamorphic stretch capabilities.
