In what is described as the largest product launch in the Italian projector specialist’s history, SIM2 has introduced 10 new projectors to complete a 15-strong line-up that marks its 15th anniversary.
Heading up the new offers are the NERO single-chip DLP projectors, which share many of the technical attributes of the acclaimed LUMIS 3D SOLO 3-chip series. SIM2 engineers have designed a flexible platform—NERO 3D-1, NERO 3D-2, NERO 3D-HighBrightness and NERO 235—that will offer consumers four different feature sets, depending on model: 3D, high brightness, high contrast, and 2.35:1 aspect ratio. Among this range, the NERO 235 represents SIM’s first 2.35:1 aspect ratio projector.
Also launching are the CINEMA projectors, CINEMA 90 and CINEMA 100. The 3-chip 3D DLP projectors use a dual lamp system to deliver up to 10,000 lumens – a high light output that is required in reference cinemas with very large screens.
SIM2 is also introducing the three-model MICO 100 range – described as the world’s first active 3D LED projector line – and the LUMIS UNO 3D (pictured), a more affordable addition to the LUMIS 3D series.
