Klotz has announced a new, fully connected MIDI cable with metal connectors and gold-plated contacts which, says the company, completes the top end of its MIDI range.
According to Klotz, the connection of pins 1 and 3 guarantees DC power supply for manufacturer-specific MIDI-powered devices. The MY504 cable has a 0.14 mm² conductor cross-section (AWG 26) and connectors with easy-grip metal sleeve in what is described as a rugged, highly ergonomic design.
Gold-plated contacts are said to reduce oxidation to virtually zero, making the cable – which is available in lengths of 1.0, 1.8, 3.0 and 6.0 highly reliable over the long term, said Klotz.
