IBC2013: Christie introduces FHD461-X shallow LCD flat panel

Christie has just launched a new near-seamless LCD videowall flat panel – the FHD461-X, which it will be showing at IBC2013. The panel's depth of just 3in is said to be shallower than other panels in the 46in category.

Christie has just launched a new near-seamless LCD videowall flat panel – the FHD461-X, which it will be showing at IBC2013. The panel’s depth of just 3in – said to be shallower than other panels in the 46in category – makes it suited for space-limited installations, signage in museums, universities, corporate spaces, broadcast sets and retail environments, as well as monitoring applications such as security and surveillance. Bezel width is 5.4mm – the narrowest bezel-to-bezel width of any 46in SNB panel.

Described as ‘sleek, elegant and competitively priced’, the Christie FHD461-X has 10-bit colour, a 4,000:1 contrast ratio, LED backlighting and high pixel density. Typical power consumption is 105W. The panel is compatible with Christie JumpStart, and Christie Interactivity Kit – a fully modular multitouch interactive solution (specifically designed for tiled videowalls.

“Every digital display installation is unique and with the Christie FHD461-X, our customers now have a 46in ultra-narrow bezel flat panel solution with a thin profile to fit those tighter spaces where required,” said Richard Heslett, senior product manager, Christie. “The Christie FHD461-X offers rich, superior colour reproduction and high contrast ratio for an image that really jumps out at the viewer.”

“The Christie experience is one of renowned quality, innovation and service across the entire digital display technology spectrum and we are proud to add the Christie FHD461-X to our family of solutions,” Heslett concluded.

The Christie FHD461-X is now shipping with a three-year parts and labour warranty. It makes its debut at IBC at the Amsterdam RAI, stand 9.C17, on 13-17 September.
