GDS adding to LiteWare range

The company has announced its plans for this year's PLASA Show, which takes place at London's Earls Court from 12-15 September.

The company has announced its plans for this year’s PLASA Show, which takes place at London’s Earls Court from 12-15 September. Following the success of the LiteWare wireless RGB uplighter, launched in 2009, LiteWare HO is a new, 80W LED high-output version.

Designed to be completely compatible with the existing LiteWare range, the LiteWare HO product occupies the same footprint as the standard version and is calibrated to deliver colour-matched output.

Also at the show will be the new TCP-IP CueSystem (pictured), a networked cue light system which launched at Prolight + Sound earlier in the year. Reflecting the trend for completely networked show control and lighting systems, the TCP-IP CueSystem uses the established ergonomic control platform with standard GDS outstations. Output nodes are then used for cue light channel distribution in the field, all connected to a single network. Web server configuration from an internet viewer allows for configuration and patching of cue light channels, while storage and playback of cues can be created by taking snapshots of the control platform, or programming the system via the web server. In addition, RS-232 commands can be employed to either control individual channels or trigger stored cues for simple connectivity to other show control systems.

Other ranges being exhibited at PLASA 2010 will include the BluesSystem and MainsSystem working lights, the MotorControl modular motor control system, The Stage Managers Console and MOBAL, the multifunctional Socapex fault diagnosis and correction tool.

Andy Duffield, European sales manager for GDS, told IE: “We have great expectation that this year’s PLASA will be very successful for us, as it has been in the past. With new products to existing ranges and a unique industry first way of thinking for Cue Light Systems with the launch of our CueSystem NET, we hope to once again provoke the marketplace with more unique innovation.”
