Electrosonic provides AV design for Korean interactive tour

Electrosonic has provided the AV design for the Story Garden at the AmorePacific Beautiful Life Center in South Korea. The Story Garden is a factory tour of AmorePacific’s campus refashioned into an interactive multisensory and multimedia experience.

BRC Imagination Arts hired Electrosonic to do the initial AV design and support and to supply various AV systems for the tour.

Story Garden will receive a Themed Entertainment Association (TEA) Thea Award for Outstanding Achievement on 21 March at the Disneyland Hotel in California. The award honours creative excellence in theme parks, museums and other attractions.

There are two theatre spaces, four galleries with video elements and background music, and 10 with background music only. Seven Operator Control Consoles (OCCs) are distributed throughout the exhibit for tour guides to operate.

The technology featured in the galleries and theatres includes Barco projectiondesign projectors, powered by 7thSense servers and Brightsign players as well as surround sound speakers. ‘The Beauty Transforms Our World’ theatre has a three-wall display supported by two blended projectors, a WUXGA Christie projector which displays looped media and three ceiling mounted JBL speakers.

Around the campus there are 20 stretch LCD monitors with one BrightSign player used as the video source for each of the panels.

Background music throughout the Story Garden is sourced from an Alcorn McBride 8-TraXX player routed through a QSC Core 3000 DSP system. One main control room houses the Medialon show control system along with a lighting equipment rack. Smart Monkeys, Inc. performed the show control programming. PDK supplied the on-site labour. Both were supervised by Electrosonic.
