dnp denmark screens deployed in St Petersburg court house

St Petersburg-based integrator Ascreen has installed dnp Supernova Infinity screens together with Panasonic PT-DW100 10,000 lumen projectors.

St Petersburg-based integrator Ascreen, dnp denmark’s dealer in Russia (and dnp Partner of the Year 2012), has designed and implemented a major AV system upgrade at the St Petersburg Court House, using the Danish company’s solutions.

The building’s main conference hall seats 350 people, and ensuring that they all get a good view was the installer’s key concern. The solution chosen was a Supernova Infinity screen measuring 5500mm x 3094mm, made of the standard 08-85 material and driven by two Panasonic PT-DW100 10,000 ANSI lumen projectors working in ‘dot-by-dot’ mode.

“We chose the screen size and material to give everyone a bright, clear image, and deliver the high contrast you need for viewing material on video,” said Ascreen brand manager, Oleg Gukov.

In two areas of the courthouse, strong ambient light posed a challenge. For the Presidium Hall, Ascreen chose two Supernova Flex Screens with Panasonic PT-DZ6700 6000 ANSI lumens WUXGA projectors (1920 x 1200) for both video conferencing and presentations. “The screens were motorised to avoid obstructing windows when not in use,” noted Gukov.

In the meeting room for foreign delegations, the light conditions were also challenging, but as Gukov explained: “The viewing angle was quite narrow, which made it possible to use a high-gain material.” The installer chose a 110” Supernova One Screen, fitted with New Generation High Gain 23-23 screen material, in 16:10 aspect ratio — with a Panasonic PT-DZ6700 projector to meet the unique needs of this space.
