Disguise has partnered with Creative Technology to deliver the visual playback infrastructure for Eurovision Song Contest 2026, returning for the eighth consecutive year on one of the world’s most technically demanding live broadcast productions. Additional technology partners include Megapixel, providing video processing solutions, and ROE Visual, supplying LED displays.

The setup is built around Disguise’s GX 3 media servers, supporting the production’s shift towards a more LED-driven stage design while optimising workflows for IP-VFC. Eurovision 2026 is also one of the first major live broadcast productions to deploy Disguise’s latest IP-VFC firmware update, which the company says delivers stability and performance enhancements for GX 3 servers and is designed to support low-latency video distribution across the event’s LED and broadcast infrastructure.
Camilla Powell, head of product at Disguise, said: “The Eurovision Song Contest continues to set the benchmark for innovation in live entertainment, and is an exciting early showcase of our latest IP-VFC technology in a demanding broadcast environment.”
Disguise engineers have worked alongside Creative Technology throughout rehearsals and live broadcasts, with the collaboration also focused on refining IP-VFC performance for large-scale broadcast environments.
Niklas Ljung, group technical director at Creative Technology, added: “This year, the scale and flexibility of the LED environment is a key part of that ambition. Working with Disguise, we’ve been able to refine our workflows and build a system that supports both the creative vision and the reliability demands of a live broadcast of this magnitude.”
Additional technology partners include Megapixel, providing video processing solutions, and ROE Visual, supplying LED displays.
With more than 35 broadcasters covering the event and a global audience exceeding 160m viewers, the contest’s semi-finals took place on May 12 and 14, with the grand final in Vienna on May 16.
