The announcement follows the introduction by Opus Technologies of its Series 6 multi-room entertainment system during ISE 2011.
The control module devised by enhanced home control specialist ControlFX was actually seen in use with the Opus system at the Amsterdam RAI last month.
Notable features of the module include the ability to stream video from the new Opus high-definition matrix switch to an iPad or iPhone running ControlFX, with identical ‘hot spot’ buttons to mimic an Opus keypad. As a result, a dealer can now offer additional wireless whole home control of the Opus system.
Andy Lloyd, managing director of ControlFX, commented: “With the Opus system offering not just AV control, but lighting, heating, curtain, blinds [and] security, we are confident that the new ControlFX module for Opus will be a big hit with Opus dealers installing the new Series 6 system.”
