Chief to issue new mini projector mount line

The new mini mounts are almost half the size of the original projector mounts and are said to be easy to install. Scheduled to be made available in the late summer, the new line includes the Mini RPA Elite (RSMAU, pictured)) and the Mini RPA (RSAU) models, both of which incorporate a new universal interface bracket.

A miniature version of the RPA Elite (RPM), the Mini RPA Elite is oriented towards today’s smaller projectors and features a newly designed universal projector interface bracket with convenient lamp and filter access. Available in three colour options (white, silver and black), the mounts also incorporate micro-adjustments for precise registration, Centris fingertip positioning, Q-Lock keyed locking and the ability to support up to 25 lb (11.3kg).

The other new product, the Mini RPA (RSAU) projector mount, is a miniature version of the RPA Series. The Mini RPA also includes the new universal interface bracket, and features independent roll, pitch and yaw as well as quick projector connect/disconnect. The mount supports up to 25 lb (11.3 kg).

Meanwhile, the new universal bracket included in both products is said to enable quick installation in three steps, and to require only 35% of the hardware in comparison to other universal designs.

Paul Feenstra, vice-president EMEA for Chief parent company Milestone AV Technologies, told IE Residential: “Chief’s new mini projector mounts provide aesthetic solutions and unparalleled flexibility, ideal for mounting smaller-shaped projectors in residential and other markets. Customers benefit directly from the same adjustment, maintenance and registration features as with the traditional mounts, but all of these are included in almost half the size. Chief expects that many installers and end-customers will discover these and other benefits of the minis soon and incorporate them into a wide range of installations.”
