Most clubs tend to deliver on the same concept: an overly cramped venue with a mediocre sound system playing the same genre of music every night. However, the same cannot be said of TheOne. The newly opened club on the premier clubbing district of Mazowiecka street, Warsaw, has transformed the clubbing scene into a multi-functioning atmosphere, blending a nightclub, restaurant, cocktail bar, and lounge together to create a unified brand experience.
The club opened its doors in October 2025, its design and execution setting it apart from typical European clubbing venues. Its sophisticated aesthetic – dark wood panelling, luxurious furnishings, and diffused atmospheric lighting – show the attention to detail that ensured that this club stands out from its competitors. The intention was clear: to create a space where an evening can begin with Mediterranean-inspired cuisine and transition effortlessly into an unforgettable nightlife experience, while maintaining the elegance and refinement that defines the TheOne brand.
In order to set it apart from the herd, TheOne’s stakeholders relied not only on the club’s stylish appearance, but also on ensuring that there was an equally refined technical approach to its sound system – based around L-Acoustics loudspeakers and its Soundvision solution.
INDUSTRY STANDARD
L-Acoustics Soundvision uses industry-standard 3D acoustical simulation software for designing, visualising, and optimising professional sound systems in virtual venues, calculating sound coverage (SPL) and arrival times to ensure precise speaker placement. Using Soundvision Connect as a cloud platform for seamless collaboration among architects, designers, and clients, communication is simplified by allowing interactive web-based access to complex audio designs, modelling L-Acoustics speaker performance in detail.
L-Acoustics sound systems are deployed across top festivals worldwide and are recognised for their dynamic, precise, and consistent sonic signature. The world’s most prominent DJs ask for L-Acoustics solutions for their personal monitoring systems, used at first-rate corporate events worldwide. The sound systems can accommodate every space and audience and distribute audio throughout various areas of venues such as TheOne, as confirmed by Mario Abadeer, systems design engineer at L-Acoustics certified provider Audio Plus. Using Soundvision’s 3D mapping tools allows L-Acoustics’ partners like Audio Plus to design sound systems tailored for their clients’ hospitality venues.
AUDIO EXPLORATION
In order to achieve its sophisticated appearance and advanced speaker setup, the owners of TheOne checked out multiple clubs across the globe to explore how the greatest nightclub sound systems are created. They also visited TheOne’s designer Sound Experience’s Wroclaw-based facility and demo room to experience various L-Acoustics configurations firsthand, convincing them that L-Acoustics was the right solution for their vision.
“The challenge at TheOne was to create a cohesive audio experience across its diverse spaces”, explained Wociech Mazurek, key account manager at Audio Plus. “TheOne required a professional sound system capable of delivering everything from subtle ambient music during dinner service to powerful, club-grade performance for late-night events – all while maintaining the space’s sophisticated aesthetic.”
The main dance floor at TheOne features 2x arrays of one A15 Wide L-acoustics loudspeaker and one A15 Focus, with 2x KS21 subwoofers per side. 2x A10 Wide are placed backstage and onstage, while DJ monitoring is handled by groundstacks of 2x X12 atop 2x KS12 subwoofers, 4x ceiling-mounted X12 serve the rear of the dance floor while under-balcony areas boast 7x X6i speakers, two of which belong to the VIP zone. In addition, 5x X12 and 7x X6i speakers are used for delays, the lounge area featuring 4x X8i and 2x SB15m subwoofers.
The entire system is powered by 8x LA4x amplified controllers, providing 32 independent channels. The attention to detail in ensuring that each area of TheOne nightclub is covered with a sufficient sound system is what sets it apart from typical European clubs, Macewica even adding that “the listening experience in the VIP area is especially impressive”.
ACOUSTIC EXCELLENCE
To ensure the best acoustic experience for any time of day or type of event, three presets were carefully prepared at TheOne’s venue. During the day, “restaurant” mode operates all components at an evenly distributed, low-volume level with a slight boost in the 600-900 Hz and 4 kHz bands, significantly improving the intelligibility of music at low levels – an ideal configuration for conversational environments. When the “club” preset is activated, the whole system naturally operates at a much higher volume. The low frequencies, already more prominent at higher SPL, no longer need enhancement.
The delay zones are slightly reduced in level while the upper level is significantly louder, ensuring that the energy from the dance floor is felt effectively throughout the entire venue. The tuning has also been refined to achieve the warm sound characteristic of the L-Acoustics system while maintaining the audible details in the music.
The third preset is for concerts which also take place during closed events at the club, giving a balanced sound in full harmony while the sound engineer can mix as they see fit.
“This project can proudly be described as a flagship L-Acoustics club installation”, said Paweł Kuhn, marketing director at Audio Plus. “Every aspect of the deployment depended on the ingenuity, flexibility and precision that defines an L-Acoustics solution. The final result was a dynamic, pleasing and, most importantly, well-balanced acoustic deployment throughout the club.”
L-Acoustics’ well-balanced and detailed sound system, paired with the TheOne’s suave appearance and layout, is what sets the venue apart from other nightclubs in Europe, making it a standout destination that is changing the game for the modern clubbing scene.
