A distributed audio system built around 1 SOUND’s Level Series loudspeakers has been installed across Paris Las Vegas Hotel & Casino, replacing a system that had been in place for around three decades.
Owner Caesars Entertainment sought to elevate the guest experience throughout the property following a renovation at Caesars Palace, requesting 1 SOUND specifically before being introduced to integrator Global AV Group.
Before finalising the design, Global AV Group staged an on-site loudspeaker shootout, comparing a custom-finished 1 SOUND Level 35 against an alternative solution. The Level 35 was colour-matched to the surrounding aesthetic through the 1 SOUND Custom Shop within a week, allowing Caesars to evaluate both sonic performance and visual integration.
The casino floor presented acoustic challenges including large open areas, decorative columns and dome ceilings. Using Auralis acoustical modelling software, Global AV Group developed a distributed design intended to keep sound close to guests rather than relying on loudspeakers mounted high above the floor.
The final deployment incorporated Level 35 and Level 38 loudspeakers, Cannon C6 loudspeakers, SUB28 subwoofers and WSUB45i wall subwoofers across the casino floor, lobby, main bar and retail corridors. Level 35 loudspeakers and SUB28 subwoofers were used throughout the casino floor and lobby, while Level 38 loudspeakers provided additional output in higher-energy areas such as the main bar, with wall-mounted subwoofers used where floor space limited traditional subwoofer placement.
Lou Mannarino, founder and chief designer at 1 SOUND, said: “The asymmetrical horn and deployment really enable the throw quite far. We’re getting 40 to 50 feet and then opening up softly around the columns. That’s how we’re achieving the sound we’re after.”
Mannarino added: “The Level 35s fit in between the decor. The SUB28s are able to hide behind different machines and furniture.”
Cannon loudspeakers were also deployed throughout Le Boulevard, the property’s retail promenade of boutiques, restaurants and cafés, extending the audio experience beyond the gaming floor.
Following the installation’s success, Global AV Group has been asked to redesign the audio system at Le Cabaret Lounge at Paris Las Vegas as the next phase of the relationship.
