The first TRT Music Awards, celebrating the best of Turkey’s musicians, singers and music productions, took place recently at the Lütfi Kırdar Convention and Exhibition Centre, Istanbul. The inaugural event included performances from the İstanbul Music and Jazz Orchestra and the İstanbul Chamber Orchestra, on a stage illuminated by Robert Juliat 714SX 2.5kW profile spots which turned the TRT Music Awards Ceremony into a spectacular light show.

The ergonomic features of Robert Juliat profiles, such as the rotating lenses tube, gate and shutter set, all of which can be locked into position to prevent unwanted movement, are said to be highly favoured by technicians.
Robert Juliat 700 Series zoom profiles are designed around double condenser optical system for sharpness of beam and flat field with little fall off of light. The tungsten lightsource is claimed to be perfect for television lighting, and the powerful output is guaranteed by the use of a 2.5kW lamp, made possible by the unit’s G22 lamp socket.
“I’ve been working in the television lighting industry for over ten years now,” said Serdar Kaştaş of Gramofon, lighting designer for the TRT Awards. “For those of us who work in television, tungsten light is more important than show light because a camera-balanced, well focused facial light is one of the main factors in making show light to appear more saturated.”

According to the company, RJ Aledin profiles have rapidly been adopted by television studios worldwide. The profile units are now complemented by the recently released 85W Aledin 330 LED Wash.
