Meyer Sound announces audio online seminars

The California-based manufacturer has announced a series of free, one-hour webinars intended to give sound professionals an alternative resource for audio education, regardless of where they are located.

The California-based manufacturer has announced a series of free, one-hour ‘webinars’ intended to give sound professionals an alternative resource for audio education, regardless of where they are located.

Designed as an extension of the company’s worldwide education programme, the webinars begin with a series of events focusing on establishing a “solid foundation” in the use of the Meyer Sound MAPP Online Pro acoustical prediction program. Topics will include ‘Using Visual Aids’, ‘Inputting a CAD Drawing’ and ‘Flown, Ground-Stacked, and Horizontal Arrays’. Attendees will learn to apply the advanced software features in a variety of system design scenarios, and develop a working knowledge of coverage pattern prediction, frequency response, impulse response and more.

“As our education programme grows, we continue to seek new ways to reach more candidates who can benefit from our instructors’ wealth of knowledge and experience,” said Gavin Canaan, Meyer Sound’s education programme manager. “These webinars give attendees a solid grounding of audio topics that are essential for creating sound systems of any size or for moving on to more advanced training in our education programme.”

Two webinars on 19 and 21 October are open for registration. For more, see the seminar page on the Meyer Sound website at www.meyersound.com/events/seminars.
