Software-defined flexibility

(L-R): Michael Graf, senior web application developer, and Jesse Gearhart stand ready to show off DisplayNet

DisplayNet is being showcased by DVIGear on the SDVoE stand. This KVM solution is designed to switch, extend and distribute uncompressed AV signals in real time with resolutions up to 4K/60p.

“DisplayNet offers abilities like instant switching, which you can’t really match in other products,” said Jesse Gearhart, lead software engineer at DVIGear. “So you can have a multi-viewer where you have four different computers and you can seamlessly switch between them.”

“But we’re also showing the opposite version of that here at ISE, with a collaborative mode where you can have multiple controllers controlling one PC simultaneously,” added Gearhart.

“We’ve seen an animation studio where the animators use it to collaborate and work together [via KVM] on the same model. They can be across the city from each other and still do this kind of collaboration. We’ve also been seeing a lot of interest from the medical space, because they do a lot of collaboration even during surgeries, or just during reviews where they’re switching back and forth.”
