ISE 2023 marks the first winter edition of AV’s leading expo at the Fira de Barcelona Gran Vía, following last year’s rescheduled May event – and the new issue of Installation celebrates the show. Available in print form at ISE 2023, in the international Media Showcase in Congress Square, you can read the digital version, below.
ISE continues to grow, and this year marks its first full foray into virtual production, a trend that’s set to continue into 2024 and beyond. The event’s new Content Production and Distribution Zone showcases technology from a select group of organisations in content production and distribution, as ISE acknowledges the ongoing convergence between AV and broadcast. To find out more about the organisation’s plans in this area, check out our exclusive interview with ISE managing director Mike Blackman on page 18 – part of our ISE in Focus feature.
Similarly, ISE continues to recognise the continued meeting of minds between pro and residential AV – the so-called ‘resimercial’ convergence – and we discuss the overlaps with industry movers and shakers from page 21 of this issue.
Elsewhere in this January/February 2023 edition, we’ve a corporate AV special, with two in-depth features focusing on the growing importance of audio and video as the workplace continues to go hybrid, and we look at the renaissance of the theatre industry as new venues continue to proliferate, and how system integrators are moving forward as Covid slowly fades from our collective memories. There are also interviews and commentaries from various industry heavyweights, including Graham Hendry from AtlasIED, Jim Farmery of XPLOR, Strive AV managing director Toni Chalk, Kramer’s Sefi Aharon, and Yannic Laleeuwe from Barco.
Look out for me on the show floor of the Fira, and enjoy ISE 2023! Meanwhile, check out the edition below.
