New edition of Installation magazine available now!

March/April edition is a pro displays & projectors special, and includes our report on ISE 2023. Installation editor Rob Lane reveals more

It’s been weeks since ISE 2023, but the AV industry is still buzzing about what was arguably the best event yet. Certainly the Installation team thoroughly enjoyed the Fira’s first winter event, although we really needed a month to truly do it justice – food for thought, Mike Blackman! Check out our show report from page 16 of the new issue (see below this missive), with a beefed-up version available online via the click-through at the end of the feature.

Our pro displays and projectors special, from page 26, highlights strong upsurges for AV visuals following the Covid recovery, and if the comments from industry movers and shakers are anything to go by, things can only get better as we move through 2023 towards next year’s ISE.

Elsewhere we’ve got special reports on smart cameras and acoustics, with the former going great guns in corporate AV in particular in the wake of the pandemic, and acoustics becoming even more important in the same sector as hybrid working continues to expand.

Our instals section includes reports on Sennheiser mics, Martin lighting, Modulo Pi media servers, Genelec loudspeakers, Christie video walls, and Listen Technologies’ assistive listening devices – just a handful of top projects we could have chosen for inclusion in this issue. Check out the case studies on the Installation website for more of this year’s top instals.

This issue, we’ve Q&As and insights from a veritable who’s who of AV. Damien Weissenburger, head of professional displays & solutions Europe, at Sony, looks ahead to more sustainable future; Steve Franklin, executive director of Cinos, discusses how SMEs can pick the right AV technologies; Digital Projection’s Mark Wadsworth explores projection’s place in the modern AV ecosystem; Lauren Simmen, director of product marketing at Crestron, discusses new thinking in hybrid working; Rick Winde, lead solutions architect at DBE Systems, looks at how the work from home revolution is powering system integration; and Petr Tosner, sales program manager EMEA at Axis Communications, discusses enabling seamless integration for surveillance systems across the system lifecycle.

Enjoy the issue.
